A complete AHC delete and heavy-duty lift from the famous Australian brand Pedders. It swaps the complex, fault-prone hydraulic AHC system for conventional torsion bars, coil springs and Foam Cell shocks - engineered for frequent heavy loads and towing. Firm and composed when unladen, far more reliable under demanding use. Supplied as a bolt-in system with fitting bulletins covering full AHC shutdown to prevent dashboard warnings. Fits all wheel sizes (heights referenced with 16-inch wheels). Available in variants for different load and clearance needs - get in touch if you need advice on the right spec.
Fitting Tip - Only torque suspension bushes when the weight is back down on the vehicle - NOT when the suspension is hanging down. Always ensure your front wheel alignment and geometry is checked after installation. Note: Final ride height and comfort may vary depending on the condition of the original AHC system.
The AHC Conversion: Rather than repair the ageing hydraulic pumps, pressure spheres and sensors of a failing AHC system, this kit removes them entirely and replaces them with conventional mechanical suspension. Heavy-duty front torsion bars with a reinforced mount bracket, matched rear coil springs and Foam Cell shocks all round work together as a fully integrated system - built to outlast and outperform the original AHC setup under load.
The Shock Tech:
Foam Cell: Foam Cell shock absorbers use an oil-saturated foam sleeve instead of relying on pressurised gas. This prevents aeration and cavitation, keeping damping forces stable across the full stroke. Greater oil capacity and improved heat dissipation mean they resist fade and control temperature under sustained load - well suited to heavy-duty, towing and off-road work.
